Our Team at Life Church

After 14 years in Christian Ministry, our Lead Pastors are proven, focused and able to stand with you in your walk through life. Serving alongside Pastors David and Michelle Higgins are their three wonderful children and David's parents Pastors Allen and Beverly Higgins.

These three generations serving the Lord together are a wonderful picture of what The Life Church desires to be in its heart - a multi-generational family worshipping God and serving each other.

 

David and Michelle Higgins

David and Michelle Higgins received Jesus Christ as their Savior as children. David was born in Palmeston North, New Zealand and even though he made a commitment to Christ as a small child, it was when living in Ridgecrest, California at the age of nine that a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ was confessed. Michelle was at 5 years old when she received Jesus Christ into her heart in a farm house near central Washington.

They were married in 1992, six months after graduating from A.I.M. Intern Program through Life University (Foursquare). They lived in Yakima, Washington where they served at Church on the Move as Youth and Music Directors until coming on staff as Associate Pastors. It was in February of 1999 that God moved them to San Diego to assist Pastor Allen Higgins in the work here at The Life Church. On December 16th 2001 David and Michelle were given the responsibility of being our Pastors.

In addition to their ministry in San Diego they carry a heart for the mission field. Each year brings more opportunities in countries such as India, Ukraine, and Zambia, Africa. These opportunities are also extended to the Life Church family as we travel together into foreign lands with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Pastors Allen & Beverly Higgins

Allen & Beverly Higgins have been in ministry for the past 45 years. There ministry has included pioneering churches, Bible schools, & mission work. Both travel regularly, speaking at conventions and churches both in the U.S. and internationally. They are the Associate Pastors at the Life Church, which is their home church.

 

 

Mike & Carrie Pendell

Michael and Carrie met as teenagers in Michigan, where they both grew up.  After high school Carrie stayed in Michigan to pursue her degree and Michael joined the United States Navy and was stationed here in San Diego.  Both Michael & Carrie received Jesus Christ as their Savior during this time of living apart.  They were married in 2001; at which point Carrie came to join Michael as he continued to serve in the Navy on the West Coast.

Michael and Carrie have been involved in Children's Ministry at the Life Church for the last five years and have served as leaders in this ministry for the last three of those years.  It is the aim of their ministry to lead children into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  They desire to see children trusting Jesus as their Savior, and obeying Him as their Lord, and want to provide each child with the opportunity to build a strong foundation of faith in Jesus, and a love for the Word of God that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
